Walter Harrison Scholarships are awarded to students entering or enrolled in accredited two-or-four-year colleges, universities or vo-tech schools in Georgia. These $1,000 scholarships are made in honor of Walter Harrison, a Georgian who earned the title “Mr. Rural Electrification” for his tireless service to the cooperative industry throughout its formative years.

Students applying for this scholarship must live in a house that receives electric service from Jefferson Energy Cooperative. If your power provider is a different EMC, you must submit your application directly to that EMC. Georgia Power or MEAG customers are not eligible.
